The built-in DNS proxy server accepts queries and forwards them to real DNS server provided by your ISP.
The query results are cached in the router and sent back to the computers on the LAN.

Unless you have other DNS server running on your
internal network, you are recommended to enable both of the servers
in the router.
The DNS proxy server can speed up domain name resolution. Furthermore,
you don't need to update the DNS of other computers if the DNS servers
assigned by your ISP are changed since the DNS of your computers
can be configured to the IP address of the router.
If the DNS proxy server is started, you are able to define the host
names and IP addresses for your local computers.
